Many opportunities are available for study abroad experiences. Graduate students return with a new perspective that enhances their studies and research.
The department's global perspective is reflected in the international makeup of our faculty and students. A very unique aspect of our graduate program is the opportunity for international research and educational experiences. In recent years nearly one-third of our graduate students have traveled and lived abroad (France, Belgium, U.K., Netherlands, Germany, China, and Africa, among others) for research and course work opportunities. A recent Department of Education grant now provides opportunities for educational opportunities in Brazil.
