Alumni
Alumni of the Department of Entomology have become leaders in academia, government, and industry. Many alumni remain interested in the department and provide help and advice to faculty and students. The department is always interested in hearing from its alumni, so please keep in touch!
Congratulations to our Spring 2009 graduates:
Dr. Katie Ellis - Katie has accepted a position in the Pennsylvania Adams County Cooperative Extension Office as an Ag Innovations for Specialty Crops Extension Educator
Dr. Randa Jabbour - Randa is doing research as a postdoctoral scholar in Pullman, Washington.
Dr. Jon Lelito - Jon is currently the Facility Manager of the USDA APHIS PPQ Emerald Ash Borer Biological Control Laboratory. He oversees the mass-production of the three primary parasitoids identified as major biocontrol agents of the emerald ash borer (EAB) in its native range. These insects will be released in the US as part of an integrated program to slow the spread of, and ultimately reduce the damage caused by, the EAB. He is in collaborations with government scientists to continue the investigation of these parasitoids, including behavior and chemical attractant information, as well as looking at new potential biological control agents for EAB.
