- Please join us as we host Shlomit Flaisher-Grinberg from St. Francis University for their presentation titled "Invent your Dream Job: On being a Faculty in a Teaching-Focused Institution."
In her talk, Dr. Flaisher-Grinberg will describe some of the requirements specific to the teaching in small teaching-focused institutions, suggest strategies towards the creation of job satisfaction within such environments, and share her own journey through science and instruction.
She is an Associate Professor of Psychology, Co-Director of the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Minor, Director of the Animal-Assisted Health and Education Program, Chair of IACUC, and Advisor to the Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society Chapter, Nu Rho Psi Neuroscience Honor Society Chapter, Psychology Club, and Neuroscience Club. Her research focuses on the neurobiology of psychopathological disorders, animal-assisted education, shelter animals' behavior, and community-engagement pedagogy. She is the Teaching Program Coordinator for the Eastern Psychological Association and co-organizer for the Laurel Highland Undergraduate Research Conference in Psychology.
