Melissa is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at Cornell University. In her research, she aims to improve insect conservation by leveraging large scale distributional data and analyses. Her research combines the development of statistical methods, ecological theory, and empirical studies to understand the causes and consequences of biodiversity declines.
