- Join us as we host our first seminar speaker for the Fall 2026 semester! Arash Kheirodin, Assistant Professor in Controlled Environment Entomology will be presenting on his research!
Arash did his bachelor's in Iran (Mazandaran University) in plant protection (i.e., a combination of Entomology and plant pathology). His interest has always been on the insect side, and his passion has been biological control and insect ecology. Hence, he did his master's in Entomology in Iran (Golestan University), focusing on citrus pest management. He then moved to Canada for his PhD, where he followed the same passion for insect ecology, landscape ecology, biocontrol, and molecular ecology. He followed the same path in his postdoc at UGA before joining TAMU in 2023, where he leads a dynamic program focused on integrated pest management in controlled-environment agriculture settings, centered around biological control.
