Bio and research:

Selina has been conducting honeybee research for almost 10 years now. While her Ph.D. dissertation focused on potential interaction effects of insecticides and Varroa destructor on honeybee health, Selina developed a passion for beekeeping Extension and science communication. In the López-Uribe Lab at Penn State, she will be working on investigating and promoting management practices related to organic beekeeping, and Selina is excited to get involved with the PSU Beekeeping Extension team.
