Friends of the Frost Museum
Join the Friends of the Frost and you will interact with scientists, amateur collectors, and many others in preserving insect biodiversity, promoting environmental stewardship, and educating others about the world of insects.
Purpose
The Friends of the Frost Entomological Museum support the mission of the museum to serve the scientific community and the public. The Friends will establish and maintain an endowment through membership and donations to enhance the research and educational activities of the museum.
Benefits
Individual benefits: Museum plaque with names of charter members, membership certificate, newsletter, and 25 percent discount on museum workshops, annual and other meetings, and the opportunity to meet visiting entomologists
Community Benefits: Biodiversity inventory--participate in a new program of "Backyard Biodiversity" and learn about the ecological relationships that depend on insects as an essential part of our lives. Courses and workshops for adults and children include identification of aquatic insects for fly fishing lures, forensic entomology, how to start a collection, and more
