Faculty affiliated with the Center for Pollinator Research receive substantial funding from a variety of agencies, including NSF, USDA-AFRI, USDA-ARS, USDA-APHIS, EPA, NE-SARE, USAID, US-Israel Binational Science Foundation, National Honey Board, non-profit agencies (such as the North America Pollinator Protection Campaign, Project Apis M and the Foundation for the Preservation of Honey Bees) and industry-supported groups (such as the California Almond Board).

The Center has also received funding from multiple individual and corporate donors, including Wyman's of Maine, Lavender by the Bay, Häagen Dazs, the O'Keefe Foundation,Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Whole Foods, Beekeeper Groups and numerous private donors. These donations demonstrate the large degree of public support for pollinator research. The funds have been used to create the "Dutch Gold Honey and William R Gamber II Undergraduate Scholarship in Honey Bee Health" and the "Langstroth Early Career Professorship" and the Publius Virgilius Maro Professorship.."
