Hibit awarded first place at the 17th Annual Agricultural Research Expo.

Josh Hibit, a senior Agricultural Sciences, was awarded the first place (undergraduate division) at the 17th Annual Agricultural Research Expo sponsored by the Gamma Sigma Delta Honor Society for Agricultural Science on March 16, 2011.

Together with Nancy Ostiguy, an associate professor in the Department of Entomology, Mr. Hibit is studying the geographic distribution of honey bee viruses in colonies with and without the Varroa mite.  In 2010, Mr. Hibit was the first recipient of the Dutch Gold Honey Scholarship .  The scholarship was established by a generous donation from Dutch Gold and William and Kitty Gamber of Lancaster, PA.
