Selina has been conducting honeybee research for almost 10 years now. While her Ph.D. disertation focused on potential interaction effects of insecticides and varroa destructor on honeybee health, Selina developed a passion for Beekeeping Extension and Science Communication. In the López-Uribe Lab at Penn State, she will be working on investigating and promoting management practices rekated to organic beekeeping and locally selected honey bees.
