Asian Longhorned Beetle Trapping Workshop

Following five years of research and development, a trapping system for the Asian longhorned beetle will be tested on a broad scale this summer following a workshop on how to deploy and monitor the trap.

Workshop will cover:

  • History of the research and development of detection system Step by step instructions on how to deploy the traps
  • Timing of trap deployment
  • Trap monitoring and reporting procedures
  • Live demonstration of trap deployment
  • Handouts on how to obtain supplies and  select trees for trap deployment
