Applying to the Program

List of requirements

 The process of applying for admission to graduate school at Penn State requires the following application materials: item 1 is submitted online to The Graduate School. Items 2 through 6 should be sent directly to the Department of Entomology.

  1. An official GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION. Our department will pay the application fee upon receipt of your application
  2. Official transcripts (two copies) 
  3. Application for a U.S. Visa (international students only) 
  4. GRE abd TOEFL scores
  5. Three letters of recommendation 
  6. Statement of purpose

The GRADUATE SCHOOL APPLICATION must be submitted in electronic format.

NOTE: Please do not submit information with your application that cannot be used in the admission decision process, e.g., Individual Education Plans (IEPs), medical records, statements from physicians or psychologists, or legal documents. Such information will be returned by your intended program of study.
