Funding/Financial Opportunities
The majority of our students are supported for the duration of their M.S. or Ph.D. programs by research assistantships, University fellowships, by faculty grants. Financial assistance for graduate students is available from many sources.
- National Funding Opportunities
- Incoming and continuing students are encouraged to consider applying for fellowships, grants, or awards.
- Departmental Awards
- Several awards are available to graduate students in our program. Recipients of these awards are selected by the department's Awards Committee. Awards are presented from available funds to qualifying graduate students.
- College of Ag Sciences Travel Awards
- The College of Agricultural Sciences offers travel awards three times per year to encourage and to assist presentation of student research findings at national and international professional meetings.
- Employment
- Financial opportunities for graduate students also include hourly employment, assistantships, fellowships, and loans.
