Education
A public display area is open to the public during the week, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm. There is no charge for admission. Many of our displays are geared toward children. Children and adults enjoy our live arthropod zoo and the working beehive that is on display.
Museum Displays
Many of our displays are geared toward children. We fit a lot of insect information into a small display area at the Frost Museum.
Forensic Entomology Workshop
The Forensic Entomology Workshop will be held May 26-29, 2009, at the Penn State University Park campus. The course is intended for forensic investigators working for law-enforcement agencies, including state police, municipal police, forensic pathologists, and coroners. The course has been approved by the state Board of Coroners.
Bug Camp
The Frost Entomology Museum contributes to the Bug Camp for Kids (eight- to twelve-year-olds) and provides mentoring for student research projects in the Advanced Bug Camp for Kids (ten- to fourteen-year-olds).
The Great Insect Fair
The Great Insect Fair is our annual extravaganza celebrating insects with activities and fun for everyone! Admission to the fair is FREE, but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated!
